Dear Member,
Due to the continued hot and dry weather, Shepherds Way will remain closed. We appreciate this is not ideal but the water level is extremely low and not conducive to angling and the welfare of the fish. I will keep you updated as we move forward. Significant rain is the only thing that will change this situation. Turnford fishery at Broxbourne is open so those members that have paid the additional £5 to fish this can use this facility.
Best wishes
Paul Hutton

Dear Member,
I am sorry to inform you that the club has had to make the difficult decision to close our Shepherds Way fishery from 2000hrs on Thursday 4th August until further notice. The water level is at a point where angling will be detrimental to fish health and we need to protect the stock. A sign will be placed on the gate and the lock will be changed. I will keep you informed with any further developments. On behalf of the club I apologise for having to take this action but the continued drought has left us with no choice.
As I say, lets hope we get some significant rain in the very near future.
Kind regards
Paul Hutton
