Shepherds Way – New piling and platforms

Category : Fishery Reports

We have recently completed the new piling by the bottom end of Neate’s Lake to stop the continuing leakage into the small lake. In addition, we are in the process of installing new platforms on the small lake, some pictures of the first platform.

Thanks to Ron Karasavvas and Nigel Pitt for sorting out the new platform on the small lake.

All of the bank adjoining the small lake is now complete & as you can see, the bridge has been replaced & widened.

Obviously all is needed is to place the swim plates back into position but we just need the bank to settle for a few days so the ground levels out.

Temporary Closure of Shepherds Way

Category : Club News

Dear Member,

I am sorry to inform you that the club has had to make the difficult decision to close our Shepherds Way fishery from 2000hrs on Thursday 4th August until further notice. The water level is at a point where angling will be detrimental to fish health and we need to protect the stock. A sign will be placed on the gate and the lock will be changed. I will keep you informed with any further developments. On behalf of the club I apologise for having to take this action but the continued drought has left us with no choice.

As I say, lets hope we get some significant rain in the very near future.

Kind regards

Paul Hutton
