Charity Match – 29 August 2026

BADAC are proud to announce another charity match for Isabel Hospice on Saturday 29th August to commence fishing at 8am with a maximum of 20 anglers that will participate. To book your place on this match please do so via the “Make a Booking” tab on the Clubmate App or contact the match organiser Ron Karasavvas on 07971 918635 direct. The draw will take place at 6.45am so you should arrive at the venue at 6.30am. Each entry will cost £25 per angler to cover prize money for the winners and runners up and keepnets. Start Fishing at 8am There will be a BBQ for an hour at 1pm to allow for the first weigh-in, all fishing to stop for an hour to enjoy the BBQ/Coffee/Tea at cost of £6 and purchase raffle tickets. Fishing to recommence at 2pm – Fishing will stop at 7pm. Please note that normal match rules apply. The raffle will be held for donated prizes at 7.45pm whilst the last weigh-in is taking place – Presentation of winners and runners up to take place at 8.30-9pm.

All participating anglers will have a sponsor sheet and we would like them to get as many sponsors to guess the total weight of the fish caught by end of fishing by all anglers on the day. The nearest weight sponsor will receive a prize, each sponsor to donate £5.00 per guess weight per line.

As a guide carp vary between 3lb – 15lb and anticipate during this time of year an average 5 – 15 carp per angler with other species averaging total weight per angler of 30lb – 60lb could be caught over the this period multiply by maximum of 20 anglers could be as much as 600lbs (i.e. 30lbs average total fish caught  x 20 anglers = 600lbs) , but not all anglers may catch the average. These averages were taken on BADAC Match competitions over the previous 3 years during the summer months, the most weight was 434lbs with 18 anglers on one day (these weights are only as a guide).
